Utility Industry Achievement Awards.

Alliance Gas, the Gas Marketing division of Statoil UK, has reaffirmed itself as one of the leading utility companies in the UK for Customer Care.
This year’s Utility Industry Achievement Awards were presented by television personality Rory Bremner at The Grosvenor House Hotel, London, on Monday 11th December.
After winning the Customer Care award in 1999, a repeat performance was always going to be difficult to achieve. However, the significant efforts made by Alliance Gas in 2000 to further improve its customer service performance were acknowledged by winning second place at this year’s awards.
The Customer Care category sought to identify utility companies that “demonstrate a true understanding of their customers’ needs and deliver world class customer service”. According to the judges, Alliance Gas showed “a clear demonstration of a determined effort to satisfy customer needs and extend this throughout the business”.

Although the deregulation of the Industrial and Commercial gas market in the UK happened nearly a decade ago, the constant change and developments that occur present the gas buyer with the challenge to be armed with the right information to make an educated purchase decision.
In response to this industry need, Alliance Gas Ltd released the “Alliance for more” family of brochures and datasheets which contain unbiased, easy to understand information. Areas that have been addressed include a guide to successful tendering, how to save money by using alternative pricing options and even contract terms have been explained!
In recognition of the quality and cost effectiveness of its marketing literature, Alliance Gas has been announced as a finalist for the “Best Overall Marketing Campaign” in the Financial Times Global Energy Awards 1999!
